Isaac Meyer has spent more than a decade working with corporations, trade associations and nonprofit organizations to meet their government relations objectives in Maryland. Isaac most recently has worked on legislation to expand the renewable energy portfolio standard, preserve utility scale solar development at the local level, enable the transferability of tax credits to incentivize construction of historic properties, and protect employees from wage theft. Additionally, Isaac plays an integral role in client issues in Baltimore County and City, as well as the Eastern Shore.

Before reentering contract lobbying and consulting in 2015, Isaac served as Government Relations Manager for Service Corporation International (SCI) managing the company’s legislative agenda and lobbyists in 45 states and the District of Columbia. Isaac gained an expert knowledge of banking and business regulation policy which he now uses to support the advocacy needs of Compass Government Relations Partners clients. While at SCI, Isaac worked on teams to create public policy agenda items on legislation that directly impacted the company’s bottom line.

Before joining SCI, Isaac was a government relations consultant and lobbyist for a prominent Maryland lobbying firm. Isaac regularly worked with corporate clients to create their public policy agenda and secure state operating and capital budget funding. Additionally, he helped clients leverage their extensive volunteer networks by creating their grassroots strategy.

Isaac has always been passionate about state and local government affairs. While studying at Towson University, he established the Legislative Affairs Committee within the Student Government Association. During his two-year tenure as Director of Legislative Affairs, he cultivated relationships with champions in higher education and drafted the first legislative agenda by a student organization in the State of Maryland.
